Ted asks,
Hi Jeff,
This man is the ex-VP for Pfizer who acts against vaccinations as dangerous, however, he seems to be taking a view which is puzzling. Can you comment (Massey is mentioned)?
Ted
Hi Ted,
Thank you for your question. I will use it to elaborate on the inner workings of the movement I will be addressing and how these individuals fit into their broader agenda.
On Michael Yeaden
I am aware of Yeaden and his association with the No-Virus movement. His involvement appears to be a strategic effort by the movement to bolster their narrative, despite his apparent lack of understanding on the subject.
Last year, the No-Virus group somehow persuaded Yeaden to adopt the belief that 'viruses do not exist,' leading to his alignment with their cause. Circumstantial evidence suggests that the No-Virus movement has ulterior motives, such as profiteering. In my view, this movement is orchestrated to benefit a select few individuals while systematically obscuring legitimate inquiries and answers related to the emergence of viral illnesses.
On the ‘Truth Movement’ and No-Virus
The No-Virus movement is representative of the most extreme and radical factions within the broader 'truth movement.' It provides a platform for the most extreme of conspiracy theorists to disseminate their ideas without appropriate scrutiny or the usual checks and balances that are integral to credible discourse. This movement's strategy includes recruiting and leveraging high-profile doctors and scientists, like Yeadon, in order to lend an appearance of legitimacy and authority to their claims. By leveraging these professional credentials, they seek to enhance the credibility of their narrative, despite its lack of scientific foundation.
Historically, the 'truth movement' placed less emphasis on credentials and expertise and more on the content of what is being said. However, there has been a significant shift from 2020 to the present. Currently, the appeal to authority is more pronounced than ever. Credentials are now strategically employed to lend credibility to assertions that are not supported by evidence. This approach diverts attention away from the fundamental accuracy of the claims, which are intrinsically anti-scientific.
Furthermore, and more insidiously, their strategy also involves the deployment of online trolls who infiltrate dissenting channels with the aim of misleading, distorting, and fabricating information about their stance, while simultaneously attempting to subvert honest individuals and their work. These trolls systematically ignore relevant information, shift goalposts, and engage in personal attacks on character and image to diminish any legitimate refutations against them and their claims.
Such individuals may pose as legitimate subscribers to your work and even make financial contributions, only to reveal themselves as 'wolves in sheep's clothing.' Their true intent is to disrupt your efforts and divert your focus, causing you to expend effort ineffectively. Additionally, some of these individuals may attempt to befriend you in order to gather personal information that they can later use against you.
Such tactics are also designed to divert viewers away from alternative perspectives and undermine efforts to counter their anti-scientific narrative. These trolls work to diminish the effectiveness of challenges to their claims, while advancing their own agenda as the so-called 'purveyors of truth,' ultimately serving the financial interests of those they follow and/or work for.
Those at the top of the movement typically do not engage with the community, especially not on a personal level. Instead, they rely on disseminators of disinformation, including online trolls, to advance and proselytize their agenda. As such, these trolls are not interested in evidence that counters their claims. They will consistently divert attention away from legitimate evidence, dismissing it as inconsequential and frequently shifting the goalposts. Their primary objective in doing this is to waste your time, and the time of your readers, and distract from meaningful discourse—never to concede to any fact.
For example, many of these individuals acing as honest subscribers of your work, seemingly being in agreement with you, may pose lengthy, multi-part questions with the intention of eliciting detailed responses. But this is a strategy designed to consume a significant amount of your time and attention, drawing you into a prolonged engagement that ultimately goes nowhere. When your responses do not meet their expectations, or if you address their questions in a way that deviates from their desired narrative, they frequently alter their approach. This shift often involves launching attacks against you, thereby revealing their underlying agenda. These attacks serve to attempt to undermine your credibility and disrupt your work, highlighting their true motives of destabilizing and obstructing your efforts rather than engaging in genuine discourse and contribution.
Recently, with the assistance of a Steve Kirsch Substack moderator, we were able to get one of these trolls banned from Substack, along with his accounts. This individual was using multiple accounts under the same IP address. It was subsequently discovered that this troll is connected directly to a prominent member of the No-Virus movement.
On a broader scale, the 'truth movement,' including groups like No-Virus, has intersected with various movements such as QAnon. These groups coincide and share common themes like extreme distrust in established institutions and extreme skepticism of established science, including racism, xenophobia, and more, which can lead to the erosion of foundational democratic principles like freedom of the press and expression, among others. Such movements can create a climate where baseless conspiracy theories thrive and can influence political and social structures, potentially advancing agendas that seek to undermine democratic processes and centralize power, leading to authoritarianism.
On Massey and FOI Requests
Lastly, Massy's FOI (Freedom of Information) requests are fundamentally misrepresented and, in many cases, fabricated. These requests are deliberately phrased in ways that are designed to elicit negative responses from organizations. In my view, Massy appears to be mentally unwell, like many in the ‘truth movement’, and is being exploited by the No-Virus movement to advance their agenda. Those who follow her and regard her FOI requests as legitimate are uninformed about the correct procedures and limitations associated with FOI requests. The limitations of these requests are being misrepresented as factual, misleading an audience that is disinterested in or dismissive of evidence and objective facts.
Jeff Green
Hi Jeff, Thanks for your talks and articles over the last few years. In 2020 you awakened me to the simple cause of illness such as a flu and the natural good function of those little particles commonly known as viruses. I was so happy to learn this, and forever grateful to you.
However I'm now confused about your present motives and intentions, with your potential attacks on the no-virus crowd. So to clear things up, could you please answer 3 simple questions for me:
1. Do you claim that viruses are a potential cause of illness or disease?
2. Do you claim that viruses are materially transmissible by any natural means?
3. What is your preferred biological definition of a virus?
Thanks in advance. No rush.
